PERFUME

Timothy Han, a former assistant to John Galliano who reinvented himself as a much-feted perfumer, is concocting a line of scents inspired by classic novels. She Came to Stay, based on the 1943 Simone de Beauvoir novel, became a runaway olfactory bestseller, and he described his follow-up, On the Road, from the Jack Kerouac novel, as being 'like the road trip, starting in New York and going all the way through America.' Now he is launching a scent based on Yukio Mishima's The Decay of the Angel (1971).
